About BrainHeart Music

What is BrainHeart Music?

BrainHeart Music Therapy is created by the Scottish composer Punit Yaatri. The underlying inspiration of BrainHeart Music Therapy is to empower the listener and to promote health and well-being.

There are a number of levels on which this music works - each one specific and unique to what the listener needs. It has been said that BrainHeart Music Therapy works like a musical aspirin. Just in the same way that an aspirin does not know where the pain is in your body when you swallow it and then proceeds to take away the discomfort, BrainHeart Music Therapy stimulates the brain and central nervous system to release certain chemicals that enhance states of harmony, peace and well-being within the listener.

It does this without any effort on the part of the listener.

What this means is that a given piece of music created for BrainHeart Music Therapy will have different effects on different people. This is unusual and indicates something unique is happening within this music.

BrainHeart Music Therapy has been specifically designed to bring the listener into a deep state of relaxation, peace and clarity where they can access insights through the subconscious mind.

How do you use it?

You can use this music on many levels depending on the intensity of the experience you wish.

For a deep therapeutic experience, please follow these recommendations:

  1. Ensure you are going to be undisturbed for the duration of the music (this includes putting phones onto silent mode).
  2. Either recline or lie down in a comfortable place.
  3. Drink a glass of water before starting to listen to the music.
  4. Ensure you have a blanket ready, as in states of deep relaxation you may fall asleep and your body temperature may drop.
  5. Keep eyes closed throughout the listening.
  6. Ensure that the volume of the music is set at medium to low. The use of high quality headphones is highly recommended.
  7. Simply enjoy the music and do not try to analyse it using your mind.
  8. Do not rush to get up after the music has stopped playing. Allow yourself plenty of time to come back to a fully awakened state. Drink a glass of water afterwards.
  9. Write down everything you felt, sensed and/or dreamt of during the listening experience. This 'journal' will help you understand how the music is working on you and enable you to make sense of subsequent sessions and experiences.

Message from Punit Yaatri, composer of BrainHeart Music Therapy

Hello and welcome to my website.

I am delighted you are here and honoured and privileged to share my music and my journey with you.

As the founder of BrainHeart Music Therapy, I feel it's important to share with you that I originally set out to compose music that was peaceful to me. There was a strong desire within me to create music that touched my heart and that allowed me to effortlessly journey into the magic and beauty that I know lies within each one of us. Now, when I say "magic and beauty", I mean that sense of wonder that we all possessed and freely expressed when we were children. You know the one I mean, don't you? That feeling we all had when we felt our lives held unlimited potential and possibility and that we could be anything we wanted to. I recall wanting so much to be an astronaut, then a racing car driver and ultimately, settling for becoming a doctor!

You may be wondering what on earth this has to do with music? Well, actually, it has a lot to do with music being used therapeutically as a means to reconnect us with that sense of innocence and wonder we once had when we were children. It is about harnessing the immense power within music and using it to remind us that we have everything we need to live a happy, fulfilled life.

Through a deeply spiritual experience I have discovered that we can all gain access to this through music. Ever since this experience, my motivation has been to compose music that can help everyone connect to the source of their own inner power. In doing so, this can enable them to experience elevated states of consciousness such as peace, forgiveness, compassion and love. These states have all now been scientifically proven to have very beneficial effects upon our physical and emotional health and well-being.

Please take your time to explore this website. Listen to the music samples and open your heart to the greater possibility and potential in using BrainHeart Music as a means to experience a deeper connection to your own self and to others.

Thank you for your time in reading this.
